Metal ceramic saw blades are widely used in metal cutting due to their high hardness, heat resistance and long service life. However, their high-speed rotating working mode also brings potential risks. Strict compliance with safety operation specifications is the premise to ensure personal safety, equipment stability and cutting quality.
1. Pre-Operation Safety Inspection
Before installation and use, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the saw blade and equipment. Check whether the saw blade has cracks, chipped teeth, deformation or serious wear; unqualified saw blades are strictly prohibited. Check the running state of the cutting machine, ensure the spindle has no obvious clearance, the flange is flat and clean, and the fastening nut is not loose. At the same time, confirm that the protective cover, emergency stop button, chip removal device and cooling system are intact and effective.
2. Standard Installation and Correct Model Matching
Select the metal ceramic saw blade with appropriate size, tooth shape and aperture according to the cutting material and equipment parameters. Do not use reduced-size gaskets or force install mismatched saw blades. Install the saw blade in the direction marked by the arrow, ensure it is firmly fixed and has no radial runout. After installation, idle the machine for 1–2 minutes to confirm stable operation before formal cutting.
3. Standardized Operation During Cutting
Operators must wear protective equipment, including safety goggles, anti-cutting gloves and work clothes; long hair must be tied up, and loose clothing is prohibited. Keep a safe distance during operation, do not stand directly in the rotation extension line of the saw blade. Feed evenly without excessive pressure or forced cutting, so as to avoid saw blade jamming, chipping or fracture. Do not touch the saw blade or clean chips when the machine is running.
4. Strict Control of Cutting Environment and Conditions
Keep the work area tidy, well-lit and non-slip. It is forbidden to place flammable and explosive materials near the cutting area. For wet cutting, ensure the cooling fluid is supplied stably; for dry cutting, control continuous working time to avoid excessive temperature. Clamp the workpiece firmly to prevent shaking or flying out during cutting. Do not cut materials that exceed the specified range of the saw blade.
5. Post-Operation Maintenance and Safe Storage
After stopping the machine completely, clean chips and attachments on the saw blade and equipment. Check the saw blade for new damage and record usage. Clean, dry and store qualified saw blades in a special rack to avoid extrusion, collision or moisture corrosion. Regularly maintain the cutting machine and record abnormal conditions to ensure the equipment is in good condition for next use.
6. Emergency Handling and Prohibited Behaviors
Once abnormal noise, vibration or jamming occurs during operation, press the emergency stop button immediately and disconnect the power supply before checking. It is forbidden to modify the saw blade at will, use cracked saw blades, or remove the protective cover for operation. Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble, install or adjust the saw blade and equipment without permission.
Standardized safe operation can not only avoid personal and equipment accidents, but also reduce abnormal loss of metal ceramic saw blades, improve cutting efficiency and extend service life.
